Devi (Madhuri Dixit) has the power to experience sights and visions of the future, much to the disbelief of everyone around her. When she sees her older sister Rama murdered by a stranger in a raincoat, Rama is only amused by her sister's scare. But when she is murdered in the exact same way as Devi foresaw, Devi sees the rest, as the stranger buries the body in a wall of an old bungalow.
Five years later, Devi has fallen in love with a business man named Kumar (Jackie Shroff), and the two are soon wed. An old bungalow has come into the possession of Kumar, and he invites Devi to decorate it while he is away on vacation. In the crumbling bungalow, Devi discovers her sister's skeleton. A brand new set of premonitions come to Devi, including the vision of a video cassette which may contain the answers to the questions which have plagued Devi's life.
