After a car accident, Tsukiko dreams of herself being covered with blood every night. When she goes in for hypnotherapy, she unconsciously mentions the name "Tomie". Coincidentally, there have been several recent homicides and missing person reports in which all the victims were named Tomie.
As Tsukiko tries to get her life back on track, she meets a beautiful girl who worked in her boyfriend's office. Her name is also Tomie, and she may be able to shed some light in regards to Tsukiko's recurring nightmares.
