In no time, Jake enlists hte help of offbeat physicist Dr, Frank Wilson to fix his spaceship, now being investigated by NASA scientists. While holding one of Jakes spare collars, Frank levitates to the top of theship and discovers that Jake will need $120000 in gold in order to return to space!In a race against time, Jake and Frank attempt to raise the money through supernatural tricks and risky bets. However, when Jake meets Dr. Elisabeth Bartletts cat Lucy Belle, his desire to balst off from earth weakens and he finds himself entangled in a web of feline love, military protocol and enemy spies.
