Mikaze has been summoned to a board of inquiry for her insubordination. When Ayamo and Shizuha are called in as witnesses, it seems their world will never be the same. In the depths of despair, the girls have a chance encounter with their role models, the Comet Blasters. But the meeting takes an unexpected turn... When the girls return home, they find Admiral, the resident fat cat, has gone missing with an important data chip, and the base goes on alert to find her. The girls then come across the unfinished "Stratos Zero" that Sako has been working on for several years now. With the promise of piloting it when it is completed, the girls help Sako build and test the prototype.
