Infernal Affairs
The movie is about Yan (Tony Leung Chiu Wai) who is a police undercover in the Triads while Ming (Andy Lau) is in the reversal of a triad undercover in the police department. Leading parallel but opposite lives, both feel the tremendous pressure as well as stressfully trapped in their false and increasing dangerous surroundings. Both have been walking on the thin fatal line until on one fateful evening they finally meet each other. On the other hand, both the police and the Triads have knowledge that there's an undercover amongst them and the chase is on as they compete who would 'dig' out their `mole' first.
Infernal Affairs II
With the assassination of Triad kingpin Kwun, the police, led by Inspector Wong, prepare for the inevitable bloodbath as the triad leaders vie for control. Sam is the only one to remain faithful to Kwun, but to everyone's surprise, it is Kwun's son Hua that takes control of the empire.
To keep tabs on Sam and Hua's new power, Inspector Wong sends rookie cop Yan undercover as a new triad soldier. Meanwhile, Sam has sent his own underling Ming into the police academy to rise in the ranks and keep an eye on Wong's next move. And thus, the pieces are laid to spiral into the prequel to Infernal Affairs blockbuster story.
Infernal Affairs III
Ten months after the murder of Yan (Tony Leung), Ming (Andy Lau)is relegated to the backseat of mundane office work, pending internal investigation. Meanwhile, a new star, Yeung (Leon Lai), has emerged in the police force. His meteoric rise mirrors Ming's very own before Yan's death. Suspecting that Yeung could be a mole for the triads just like he once was, Ming begins to investigate on Yeung's background only to find himself constantly shadowed by a mysterious cripple, Shen (Chen Daoming), who is Sam's former business partner who is secretly linked to Yeung. Only too late that Ming realised he has been cornered to a dead end by Yeung and Shen.
