Heavy Gear, the action-adventure, animated series which chronicles the adventures of a young Ace Gear Pilot in the future world of Terra Nova, was first introduced in 1984 as a video game and quickly rose to become one of the most highly acclaimed games of its time. Since the inception, Heavy Gear has generated an intensive line of collectibles and trading cards. In addition, there are over 100 web sites dedicated to the world of Heavy Gear. The Heavy Gear animated series brings the world of Terra Nova to life. The year is 6132 when a young boy, Marcus Rover, dreams of becoming an Ace Gear Pilot. Finally, he is given a chance. Overcoming all odds, he passes the most grueling tests to be recruited by the Shadow Dragons. After learning to take control of a multi-ton war machine, he is able to fight the Vanguard of Justice and its commander Major Drake Alexander Wallis III. Explosive nonstop action starts with the first tournament of the season when Marcus proves he is truly worthy of the title "Ace Gear Pilot". He alone must battle with five Vanguards and then fight in the ultimate grudge match with the reigning champion Wallis to see who will win the Trash City Cup. The electrifying duels intensify with life-like computer-generated special effects!
