A mysterious figure has stolen several pieces of priceless art, and demands a hefty ransom for their safe return. The artworks' insurance company, due for a large merger, decides to pay the ransom in order to avoid bad press. But when Inspector Ho (Lau Ching-Wan, reprising his role from ROOT) hears of the ransom, he decides to intervene and catch the thief. Ho soon finds himself back in the cat and mouse chase, as the mysterious illusionist Ken (Ekin Cheng), challenges him to a game he's all too familiar with.
