Based on the true life experience of Director Kwak Kyung-Taek, the story tells of four friends growing up from the mid 70's to early 90's. Early in their friendship, the four are inseparable, but as time goes by, each of them take separate paths of life. Sang-Taek and Joong-Ho enroll in college, and when they return to visit Dong-Su and Joon-Suk, they find one of them in jail and the other strung out on drugs. As their lives become more and more difficult, they soon find themselves rivals in the crime world, their friendships possibly severed forever.
