Urban Ghost Story is a supernatural chiller set against a grungy Glaswegian backdrop of urban decay and poverty. A story of a Poltergeist infestation in a high-rise tower block, it's a startling and clever mix of modern kitchen sink drama and gothic horror, which delivers plenty of shocks.
Following a car accident 12-year-old Lizzie lies dead on the roadside. Slowly she is taken into the light - but is pulled back to earth when doctors revive her. Returning home to the flat she shares with her mother and younger brother, Lizzie's convalescence is disturbed by a series of inexplicable events. At first it is merely tapping in the walls, but soon the activity escalates as furniture moves, suggesting the presence of a poltergeist. Frightened and confused, the family has no option but to ask for help. A newspaper journalist answers their plea, but their possible savior has his own hidden agenda
