Day Of The Outlaw:
Burl Ives plays a wounded Army outlaw whose gang takes over a sleepy frontier town. Robert Ryan seethes as the cynical ranch-owner, who joins antagonistic cowboy and rancher parties to combat the outlaw chieftain. Slow buildup leads to a big payoff in this cross between Key Largo and High Noon.
The Proud Rebel:
After seeing his home destroyed in the Civil War, a young boy (David Ladd) goes mute. He and his father, a stubborn southern widower (Alan Ladd), travel the breadth of the Great Plains searching for a cure. When they get into a scrape, a farm woman (Olivia de Havilland) takes them in and finds a way to communicate with the boy.
Molly & Lawless John:
A shy, romance-starved wife of an arrogant frontier sheriff finds herself drawn to a prisoner (Sam Elliott) in her husband's jail. The handsome young outlaw plays on her sympathy and convinces her to help him escape. She accompanies him on a cross-country flight, but soon learns he's been using her all along.
