When a man's corpse is discovered in the river, it opens up the door to a secret long ago forgotten. While searching for clues, Detective Oh discovers a diary belonging to Sohn. In it, it details the love of Sohn, and her capture, Yang, the man found in the river. Yang had helped Sohn escape the prison camp she was in when he fell in love with her. Another, Hwang, was also in love with Sohn and stayed in the camp for 50 years. Coincidentally, he was released the day before Yang's murder. As Oh begins to track through the love and pain from the past 50 years, he begins to follow his suspects, but will his personal feelings cloud his clarity for the case?
