The Fall Of The Romanov Dynasty follows the sequence of events that happend in Russia from the first Russian revolution in 1905 to the second revolution in October 1917. Director Esfir Shub spent a considerable period of time searching through the archives of The Museum Of The Revolution to locate preserved newsreels and random prints covering the period. With great skill and care she produced a dramatic account of what happened created entirely from actual documentary footage.
