Based on the short story "The House on Turk Street" by acclaimed crime novelist Dashiell Hammett (The Maltese Falcon, Miller's Crossing), NO GOOD DEED is a powerful film noir thriller that pits hostage against criminal in a complicated web of deception and romantic attraction.
Jackson stars as vacationing police detective Jack Friar, who while doing a friend a favor by searching for his runaway teenage daughter, unknowingly uncovers a bizarre band of international bond thieves about to pull off a bank robbery. Taken hostage while the criminals decide what to do with him, Jack is left alone with the leader's girlfriend, Erin (Jovovich), during the heist. Erin, who is a master manipulator of the men in the gang, reveals another side to Jack - a melancholy romantic who could have been a classical cellist. Eventually, she finds Jack's captivity an irresistible turn-on and as their mutual connection intensifies, who ends up with the money is anyone's guess.
