Set in London's East End, "Pure" tells the story of ten year old Paul, who becomes the caretaker of his younger brother and drug-addicted mother Mel, following the death of his father. Alone but for the friendship of feisty young waitress Louise, and driven by his deep love for his mother, Paul desperately atempts to help Mel and fend off the unwelcome attention of the local dealer and pimp Lenny who is feeding her destructive habit.
